Head height means that it is not a bedroom but will stay as storage area or whatever title is has been given. Doesn't stop you using it however as what you wish. Could be a problem when you sell in the future as regulations getting tighter and also people buying getting more particular.

Thanks flora. Unfortunately the room is on the roof so no changes can be made to the structure. Lawyer concerned that if we buy this will come up again when we want to sell. Heart over head decision!

LMB we encountered this with our little store room but although happy to knock down and replace with full size we did not have enough % allowance at the time- all they could offer was dig below floorline. So will now be done within further allowance. If you have enough % allowance during renno then best to look at including an upgrade to meet height regs.

Hi Rosie, Sky have the rights for live but you can subscribe just for the event via Now tv or do highlights on beeb.

We've got visitors from England arriving and they've asked if there's apossibility of watching the Ryder Cup. As we don't have SKY (just normal Italian digital channels), any suggestions from you golf enthusiasts out there?

@  LMB : (26 September 2016 - 03:46 PM)

Just about to purchase but found that bedroom is not 2.7 high. How big a legal deal is this?? Anyone had that problem?

Happy Autumn equinox and Spring to those in Aus. Can't beat a nice cuppa think how it replaced alcohol, promoted coffee houses and other historical snippets on this anniversary. Bake a pie, good a idea!

You can it's quite easy, but since i've just closed my account I can't refresh my memory.Have a rummage, you can set up payments to anyone here or elsewhere. Bonificio I think they call them.

Any Banco di Napoli internet banking customers out there? I'm sitting here with new access to their internet banking and a bill to pay, but I'm damned if I can find anywhere on the website to set up and pay general suppliers.

@  jonathanru : (21 September 2016 - 08:07 PM)

Thanks for all the suggestions. The best bet seems to be that it is a water heater. Next time we are visiting I will experiment.

@  mcc100743 : (20 September 2016 - 11:43 AM)

RE water heater, is there a pump in the water store below where the two flexi pipes go?

@  mcc100743 : (20 September 2016 - 11:41 AM)

Looks like a 15 to 20 ltr water heater, it has an element inside and works like an immersion.

@  Admin - Colleen : (19 September 2016 - 08:25 AM)

Looks like a boiler to me too. small one at that. Difficult to be sure without seeing the detail.

@  rosie A : (17 September 2016 - 08:34 PM)

Hubby thinks it could be a boiler for hot water?

@  jonathanru : (17 September 2016 - 09:47 AM)

We've got a strange device on the side of our trullo and we can't work out what it is. Heater? Fan? Does anybody recognise it from the pictures on this link... http://nantyderry.tu.../strangemachine

Hi All. A couple of weeks ago somebody was asking on the site about companies that drill bore holes near Ostuni. Now the 'shoutbox' piece has timed out. If that person wants to contact me I am also researching this and now have a couple of quotes. It would be good to compare notes.

@  clareden : (15 September 2016 - 11:54 AM)

Hi, I have a water softener old fashioned type with mechanical timer rather than digital, but it's free to anyone who wants it... first come first serve

Probably too late for you this time, but there's a couple of places in Ceglie where you can pick up cooked dishes to take away. I've used L'angolo della pasta before on Via Torino and they had a good selection of dishes to choose from. I'm guessing there are similar places in San Vito and Carovigno. It's also not uncommon for people to pay local nonnas to deliver food for parties, I've been to a couple of parties where this has happened and the food was a amazing.
